2013 was an awesome year for Ferrari fans.. cos Shell was giving away LEGO models of legendary ferrari models at a discounted price. All the models are pull back, LEGO has created a revolutionary pull back assembly, which is no thicker than 3mm. Building the cars from the blocks was sheer joy. Released in sets of two every time, the 1st set had the Ferrari 150 Italia and Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta. 2nd set had F40 and 458 Italia. 3rd set had Scuderia Ferrari Truck and FXX. Rudraksha - the word instills in me reverence, bewilderment and a longing to see the tree. I recently got two of them from the Isha Yoga Center. And when they arrived, I was totally bewildered by the beautiful bead and kept looking at them and observe them for a long while. A very beautiful name to begin with. Manoranjitham is a plant, prevalent in India, actually, it I knew it cos it grew in my neighbour's frontyard. Its very popular in Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. Its a plant thats strong enough to stand on it own but since it spreads wide, it clings on to supports with hook like outgrowths from its shoots. The curved hook is very tender and green in the beginning but once it has caught hold of a support, it tends to encircle and harden as wood around the support, which could be a cable or a slender shoot of another plant. The hooks look very elvish like it comes in LOTR. the hook used for climbing and support the Elvish leaves And the main highlight is the flower. Manoranjitham has flowers, one each at a leaf node of a growing branch. Its not brightly coloured, rather it looks like leaves, in a pale green when fully bloomed and tends to yellow on as it gets older. And what it lacks in colour, it compensates double in fragrance. here's one for the new year!!! somehow, i wanna do a bit of everything i like to do all year long, on new year's day and i realise i have to read a book practise some calligraphy watch a movie listen to music indulge in a little bit of art buy a coin or stamp on ebay solve a crossword solve a sudoku write a blog post (yay! thats done) chant slokas go to the temple ride the bike play some angry birds or bad piggies get my hands on a new hot wheels call on people wow! just a few minutes i think about what i wanna do and a horde of things start piling up well, i'm off to get started on the other ones..

well, the immediately noticeable differences in the UI are the screen unlock, the way the battery icon and the network signal icons are more sharp edged. And when you invoke a menu by tapping the left touch, you no longer see grids, the options are always in a list. And when you enter the settings menu, there are quicker alternate ways of getting your wifi and bluetooth on. the settings menu is more 'classified'. I've had a feeling that Temple Run is more graceful and performant on the ICS.  And ya! the face unlock, though not as secure as a PIN or a pattern unlock, its still something geeky to have, i guess. and a whole lot of sophistications in the developer options. Well thats it for now, will update this post as and when i find out more

Finally, Samsung rolled out the ICS update for Samsung galaxy S2 in India. For a big while, I'd been feeling very down, as in India, I've to pay nearly 2.5 to 3 times, the cost of the phone compared to the Europe or the US and still I gotta wait after the entire world's got its ICS. Anyway, after a long wait, ICS finally arrived in India and DuH! I could not get an OTA update as I'd upgraded to some unofficial firmware 2.3.6 for India and so Samsung did not recognize my phone!
